Washington, D.C.

Washington, D.C. is one of the most vibrant and historical cities in the world, and ANRP interns have the unique opportunity to live and work there for a semester!

Washington, D.C. intern Catherine Lawson – fall 2021

Spending a semester in our nation’s capital is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity where students learn new skills and create professional networks. The ANRP Internship Program provides everything a student from Texas A&M University needs to take advantage of this exceptional experience. Students can both explore their future career path and fulfill their potential, all while enjoying everything the East Coast has to offer!

Working full-time in D.C., ANRP interns obtain an important and rare education – an understanding of the policy process. In today’s world, this awareness is becoming even more important in every field of study. Knowing how to influence change through government at any level can be a crucial step in achieving a personal or professional goal. In addition, living in Washington, D.C. can be a fun and memorable semester away from the classroom. PPIP interns take weekend road trips and explore places like New York City, Gettysburg, and the Blue Ridge Mountains, or just stay in the city and visit the monuments and museums.

Every student has a different experience as an ANRP intern, but every student returns to campus or goes on to the next stage in life with a better understanding of themselves and our government.
